Obama disses fellow Nobel Peace Prize winner the Dalai Lama

Despite his being a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, Obama didn't feel obliged to meet with the Dalai Lama. Even after he, Obama, won a Nobel Peace Prize of his own. You would think that the two of them could get together to celebrate. But instead the Dalai Lama got the cold shoulder from his fellow recipient. So much for peace and brotherhood.

It's all about politics. And at the center of world politics these days seems to be China. When China warns of consequences if the US President meets with the Dalai Lama - then presto! No meeting takes place.

And when China warns of the consequences of giving a Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese Human Rights activists - then presto! The award is given to the "right" recipient. Here you go Obama. I hope he remembers to thank President Hu, when he visits China, for his shiny new medal.
