Martial Law coming to a country near you

I was reading an article about "What happens if truckers strike?" to protest high fuel prices and began to consider the possibilities. What would happen?

Global disaster

In Spain the trucker strikes have already begun. The results have been devastating, including fuel shortages at gasoline stations.

In developing countries the impact of high fuel prices is magnified. People there are already living on the economic edge - just barely subsisting. Any increase in the cost of living will not just result in a lower standard of living, but in real hardship - like not being able to feed your family.

The result will be an increase in crime as people become desperate to survive. The social and economic pressures will cause whole governments to collapse. The resulting power vacuum will be filled by the military to restore order. But with no way to relieve the people's economic suffering, the only option will be to resort to repression.

This is Disaster Capitalism at its worst, proving that Evil is Alive and Well. This scenario did not just occur spontaneously. It is the inevitable consequence of the Bush Administration's well orchestrated policies.

How did this happen?

It all started with 9/11, the initial Shock to the American Public. That single event allowed the Bush Administration to publicly make all the following moves that would place them in control of the chessboard; even as the American Public refused to face the reality that has befallen it.

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq had their desired effect of destroying the American economy, while strengthening the role of the military in American society.

Bush Administration preparations

The Bush Administration has been busily preparing for this scenario. Secretary of Defense (War) Robert Gates is busy purging the upper ranks of the military, replacing them with Bush loyalistas. At the same time the Bush Administration is pushing through Congress legislation designed to undercut the basic rights put in place by the founders to protect America from the forces of Tyranny.

On the economic front the situation is rapidly deteriorating, as planned. The US government is deeply in debt; oil prices are skyrocketing; financial institutions are crumbling; the US manufacturing sector is in crisis. A perfect storm just begging for a hero to come to the rescue. The American People have been beaten into submission. In their current state of Shock, the orchestrator's of this disaster are manipulating public opinion to acquiesce to the Shock Treatment that they have planned.

The endgame: Martial Law

Have we reached the endgame of Disaster Capitalism? The stage in which Fascism comes to the rescue to save Democracy; when the Elite take control over the common rabble.

So what would happen if truckers in the United States went on strike to protest high fuel prices? Ever wonder why the National Guard was sent to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan along with the regular Armed Forces? These men and women have now been conditioned to respond to civilian unrest with unrestrained brutality. No amount of training can replace the Shock of War and the Horrors of killing innocent people in the name of public order. The National Guard has now been prepared to deal with civil unrest at home.

As if that wasn't enough, we also have the use of contractors by the military in Iraq - private mercenaries. These private militia will undoubtedly be used at home to put down any unrest. No doubt that there will be some initial violent incident in which some "terrorist trucker" is involved. This will be played up by the media and will be the justification for bringing in the military to suppress any further violence.

Ever wonder why there isn't more criticism of China? It's because China is the model that the Elite intend to emulate. Want to know what the future will look like under the new regime? Take a look at Tibet.

By the time the average American understands what is occurring, it will be too late. Martial Law will effectively be in place.

Obama to the rescue?

Unless Obama is much more cunning than I am willing to give him credit for, then he will not do much to slow down this assault. He will take office in time to face these catastrophes, but without the basic tools to head off the inevitable consequences. His followers are ill prepared to carry on the battle that will be required to fight off the forces of Fascism.

Only Ron Paul has prepared his followers with the message that can defeat this onslaught by the Elite.

Alternative: Defend the Constitution

There is an alternative. The Constitution was designed to prevent exactly this type of scenario, but as a result of 9/11 and the "war" on terror the safeguards built into the Constitution have been eroded.

Support Ron Paul in defending the Constitution. Support Dennis Kucinich in his battle to impeach Bush and Cheney.

It is still not too late to IMPEACH BUSH NOW.

**** Update: 6/22/08 ****

Sec. Rice revealed the plan in 2006

I was writing a comment to a post about Iran and had a revelation. I was commenting that a strike on Iran would be a perfect example of how Disaster Capitalism works. It would cause fuel prices to skyrocket and feed into the scenario I described above. When I suddenly remembered a comment by Secretary of State Rice in 2006 that out of context make no sense at all, but taken in the context of Disaster Capitalism makes perfect sense.

It was 2006 and Israel was in the middle of an invasion of Lebanon that included cluster bombing of civilians. Rice described this as the "birth pangs of a new Middle East". She said, "This is a different Middle East. It's a new Middle East. It's hard, We're going through a very violent time."

Here is a nauseating example of the Shock Doctrine at work. In this analogy Lebanon is the hapless torture victim, while cluster bombs are the electric shock applied to private parts of the body. The desired effect is to break down the victim to a state of complete subservience. In this state the victim can be reshaped into whatever the sadistic torturer desires.

This is the "rebirth" that Secretary Rice was referring to. In her statements she revealed the Bush Administrations strategy in the Middle East - Shock and Awe. These are not just words to describe the bombing campaign of Iraq. This is the method that is being used to transform societies on a global scale.

The next Shock to the global system will be the bombing of Iran which will have a twofold effect. First is the actual Shock of the bombing campaign itself seen instantaneously worldwide on 24 hour cable TV. Next is the aftershock of oil prices skyrocketing and devastating national economies as previously described above.

Ironically in the case of Lebanon in 2006 the change that was produced was to empower Hezbollah, which just goes to show that the Shock Doctrine can backfire.

"Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. ...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. A ll you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

First off a trucker's strike is IMHO unlikely. Picture Roy Rogers on Trigger trying to herd 1.8 million cats.

I wonder why they don't go after the NRA?

There is Ron Paul for sure, also Mike Gravel, Ralph Nader, Lyndon LaRouche and Ross Perot. But the plutocrats have done an excellent job of shutting them down.

And then there are other rising stars whose lights suddenly went out: John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Robert F Kennedy, Paul Wellstone. No conspiracy here, but think about this: an eagle kills a salmon, and an owl kills a rabbit did the conspire or were they independently acting in their own self interest.

I will agree that to support Ron Paul is a great idea from an idealistic point of view, and that the impeachment is something that really ought to happen.

Barak Obama is not what I had hoped for, but he is a candidate with a good chance to win the Presidency, and our only chance right now for a president who will lead this country and the world.

george bush is the first world leader since adolph hitler who has engaged in a monomaniac attempt to dominate the world.

Hi. I guesse that would make me your worst nightmare. I may not be a trucker or a hero but there's whole lotta strikes comin'. We are in the middle of an economic strike we started 8 months ago at- www.votestrike.com

July 3rd & 4th is a protest in support of kucinich- 'Impeach or we Strike'.

And a General Strike in Sept.

'They got the guns but we got the numbers.' But seriously, we have twice as many retired military signed up as they have active. We have police, nurses, teachers, truckers, stock traders, firemen, etc signed up. No one will starve. Go to the page 'Police, Fire, Medical'. Where you will see states can run without a fed & for many years have been.

No one will starve, or go without meds, or other essentials. Not here. And we are prepared for Bush's dirty tricks. We have an Oct. suprise. Oh, you can count Obama & McCain out.

Thanks for the heads up, bro. Great article.

Hi,

I just stumbled on this from Digg. Thanks for the great article, especially the bits linking to 9/11 and disaster capitalism. Recently, I read another good article called "Twilight of the Psychopaths" by Kevin Barrett that I'd like to share with you. It explores the root of the problem from another perspective, namely the pathology of those in power. Together with your article, it really helped me to see things in a different light.

Cheers,
